Who am I?

My name is Jessica and I am a 26 year old stay at home mom who lives in New Hampshire.
I've been overweight most of my life, and I've tried a million different diets and tons of different workouts but nothing ever stuck. I kept losing focus or just giving up. Recently, a family member became ill rather unexpectedly and it opened my eyes. I am using that as my motivation to lose weight. I don't ever want my kids to go through the pain of dealing with me getting sick because of something I just didn't feel like doing, like exercising & eating right.

My son, Alexander, is 3 years old and he is my world. He is a big pain in the butt a good part of the time, but he keeps me on my toes and I couldn't live without him.

My step daughter Jaclyn is an angel, and she is constantly reminding me of all that's good and pure in this world.

These kids motivate me to be the best person I possibly can. I started this blog for them, to make sure I can be a part of their lives for as long as possible. They've given me so much & I want to return the favor for being here for them for many, many years to come!

Goals

- ~~Be able to do 100 crunches by the end of the summer.~~ Completed June 17th, 2011

- ~~Be able to do REAL push ups!~~
Completed June 27th, 2011

- I want my legs to not touch when I walk. I hate how right now, they rub together.

- Be able to run a mile in under 7 minutes.

- Run around with the kids without feeling like I am about to die.

- Get back down to my pre-pregnancy weight & clothing size.

- To never have to wear clothes with the words Extra or Large on the tag.

- Never again have to wear a hoodie in 90 degree weather simply because I am too self conscious.

- Lose a total of 10 inches in my waist.

- Become comfortable & happy with who I am and how I look.
